You want to feel close again. To your partner. To yourself. Maybe even to your faith or the parts of you that feel lost. But lately, it’s been hard—like you’re going through the motions while something important stays just out of reach. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out on your own either.

I’m Amanda Tyson, a marriage and family therapist drawn to the quiet places—those in- between spaces where people feel stuck, disconnected, or like they’ve lost sight of who they are. I work with individuals and couples who are tired of holding it all together and ready for something more honest, more healing, more connected.

My approach is relational, attachment-based, and emotionally focused. I pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface—what hurts, what protects, and what longs to be seen. I believe that insight is powerful, but it’s not enough on its own. Healing happens when you feel safe enough to experience something different—when someone sits with you, gets it, and helps you make sense of it in real time.

That’s what therapy with me looks like. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about helping you come home to yourself and your relationships with more clarity, compassion, and connection.

That’s also why I named my practice Sonder Grove. Sonder is the realization that everyone you pass has a story as layered and alive as your own. A grove is a place where things grow together—rooted, supported, intertwined. This space exists to hold your story with care, and to help you build the kind of connection that can hold you back.

You’re not too much. You’re not broken. You’re just human—and maybe you’re ready to stop carrying it all alone.

Let’s start from there.
